A man calling himself Dan Cooper bought a ticket in cash. Cooper was described to be a man in his 40s wearing a suit and tie and carrying a briefcase. When the flight landed in Seattle, the airline complied and handed over the money and all passengers were let off the plane with only a few staff remaining. The plane then set course for Mexico but partway through the trip Cooper jumped out of the plane with the money and parachute. Cooper hasn't been seen since and the money hasn't been found despite nearly 40 years of investigation by the FBI.
